The 2nd National Forum "AI — The Future is Now" was held in St. Petersburg, bringing together experts shaping the country’s digital agenda: representatives of government, science, business, and leading IT companies. On the eve of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, participants discussed the main issue — how artificial intelligence technologies can and should serve the interests of people and the state.

As a speaker at the session "Attracting Investment in AI Projects," KAMA FLOW partner Evgeny Borisov, together with colleagues, discussed opportunities and prospects for the development of Russian projects in the field of artificial intelligence. During the discussion, Evgeny highlighted key global trends in MedTech: in the US, investors focus on diagnostics and pharmaceuticals; in China, the emphasis is on smart hospitals and telemedicine; while in Russia, developments in smart surgery and next-generation operating rooms are particularly relevant.

In his opinion, supporting projects at the intersection of AI and medical equipment development is critically important for strengthening Russia’s position in the global market:

"It is very important to understand: whoever controls the production of equipment will win the global race. Today it is necessary to strategically support initiatives at the intersection of AI and medical engineering, and to encourage developers to actively use new technologies," — Borisov noted.
